OmniHarmoni™ Young Composers Challenge 2014

Division 1

(Ages 12 and under) (Ages 13-18)
$75 First Place $100 First Place
$50 Second Place $75 Second Place
Keyboard, strings, voice, and other instruments.
May be written for single or multiple instrument.

1) ​ Division 1: Ages 12 and under; Division 2: Ages 13-18. (Age as of March 1, 2015.)
2)​  May be annotated by hand on manuscript paper or may be computer-generated (by student).
3)​ ​Label each sheet of the composition in the upper right corner with title, composer’s name, age, and division.
4) ​Include a CD, marked clearly with title, composer, age, division, and instrument(s).
5)​ ​ Include a self-addressed stamped envelope, 9″ x 12″, with sufficient postage to return items.
6) Composition deadline is November 1, 2014 (postmarked application). Incomplete entries will not be considered. Lack of signed application form will be reason for disqualification.
7)​ Entry must be accompanied by $10 application fee, check made payable to Orlando Music Club.
8) Limit: one entry per applicant. Membership is not required.
9) ​ Keep a copy for your own records. The Orlando Music Club is not responsible for entries lost in the mail.

From the FFMC Bylaws (Page 1, dated July 29, 2011):

Life Membership shall be conferred upon an individual upon payment of the life membership fee covering life membership in state and national federations, as provided in the bylaws of NFMC. An application for life membership shall be made through a federated club and confirmed by the FFMC Executive Committee before payment is processed by the state treasurer and deposited in the general fund as dues. A life member shall have all the privileges of active membership and shall be exempt from the payment of state and national annual dues.

Consider LIFE membership in NFMC/FFMC.  Basic information:

  • $125 to NFMC – includes subscription to  Music Clubs Magazine
  • $75 to FFMC  - includes subscription to Sharps and Flats
  • Membership certificate from FFMC/NFMC
  • Listing in the FFMC Directory
  • State dues are nontransferable
  • Discount on OMC annual senior club dues of $5
